Get to know the team working behind the scenes that makes this possible
Previously, pilgrims faced uncertainty about their food provision, not knowing who would provide meals or when they would receive them.
The yearly change in pilgrim groups allocated to us resulted in wasted resources and chaos due to lack of structure.
Since 2018, we've adopted a more focused and consistent approach. We now serve two specific villages: Uncha Khadak and Rumbhodi.
This allows for better planning, more efficient resource allocation, and improved communication with pilgrims.
We're looking forward to scaling this model and adopting more villages in the future.
While our primary goals remain centered on food, health, and community, we've expanded our focus to include:
- Efficient planning to avoid food waste.
- Streamlined operations to address the previously illegalized and uncertain nature of food service
- Improved organization and communication to overcome earlier challenges and anxiety of pilgrims.
We continue to refine our processes, always seeking ways to better serve the Warkaris and support the Pandharpur Wari tradition.
